Austin joined the MRC in 2023.
In 2022, Austin graduated from the University of North Carolina Greensboro with a bachelor's degree in marketing. While a Spartan, he became a member of Young Americans for Freedom, a conservative activist group founded in 1960 by William F. Buckley, Jr. Before joining the MRC, Austin worked for the Union County GOP during the 2022 election cycle.
