Our Open Roles

Director of Marketing & Communications
Position Type
Full-time
Department:
Marketing, Administration & Communications

The Media Research Center (MRC) is the nation’s leading media watchdog, exposing and countering liberal bias in the press and fighting censorship by Big Tech social platforms and news aggregators. We don’t just study the media and Big Tech; we shape the narrative, drive national conversations, and hold the press accountable in real time.

This is not a typical nonprofit communications role.

MRC is looking for a battle-tested communications operator who knows how to win daily news cycles, dominate earned media, and turn research into headline-making moments. You will oversee all communications leaving the building and be responsible for ensuring MRC’s work lands where it matters most: on television, on the radio, and across the digital landscape every single day.

If you have worked inside a fast-moving political shop, a high-impact media organization, or a top-tier PR firm – and you know how to get booked, get quoted, and get attention – this role is built for you.

This is an in-person role based in Herndon, VA. The Director of Marketing & Communications will report to the Chief Operating Officer and have 8 direct reports.
