About the Role

Media Research Center's Free Speech America is looking for a law student looking to advance their career in the conservative movement. This fellow will work alongside MRC's Vice President of Free Speech America to play an active role in exposing and neutralizing the bias of federal agencies and administrations. Legal fellows will force the production of documents from the government and perform investigative research. The fellowship is paid, part-time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am-5:30. Exceptions may be made to work around your class schedule.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates legal research efforts, with a special focus on FOIAs:
    • Identifies opportunities
    • Force production of documents¬†
    • Perform Investigative Research
  • Manages all logistics of submitting and executing appropriate follow up action on FOIA requests.¬†
  • Identifies and notifies the VP of Free Speech America of legal developments, and recommends and executes appropriate follow-up action.

Required Experience & Education:

Bachelor's degree required
