When media figures such as MSNBC’s Joy Reid engage in anti-Trump diatribes riddled with glaring inaccuracies, or when ABC’s David Muir and Linsey Davis facilitate lopsided fact-checking during debates that favor one candidate over the other, it’s not
only nauseating but unethical. However, as entities operating in the private sector, they have the right to do so.
Now, when the Public Broadcasting System stocks its roster of guests with four leftists to one conservative and spins news related to the GOP as 85% negative — well, that’s a different story altogether. Bound by its charter and taxpayer- supported status, PBS must be objective and impartial while presenting differing political viewpoints equally.
