Easter ‘GCB’ Shills for Porn in Christian Marriages

Christian-bashing show brings total attacks to 157.

Although Sunday is the Christian day of rest, “GCB” certainly didn’t. ABC pulled out all the stops in their Easter Sunday, two-hour episode titled “Turn the Other Cheek/Sex is Devine,” with the majority of the plot centered on pre-marital and marital sex.

The pastor performed sermon research at Hooters-esque restaurant “Booby-licious,,” and on Sunday encouraged his congregation members to have sex with their partners for a week in order to work on “divine communication.”

This prodding led housewife Sharon and her husband Zach to talk it out in the sack where Sharon learned Zach watches pornography at work. Impressed by his bedroom prowess Sharon told her husband she was not opposed to porn since it was clearly “educational.”

This line of thinking is far from Christian beliefs but in “GCB” it’s simply another normal perk in a “spiritual marriage.”

Blake and Cricket Caruth decide they want another child, although Blake is gay. And in the middle of watching “Spartacus” with his “wife,” Blake realizes he is bisexual. (“Spartacus” is a gay joke, especially for those who have seen the movie “Clueless.”)

Main character Carlene is alarmed by the amount of attention on pillow talk and forms a celibacy club for the church youth. California-girl Amanda is promptly outraged when her daughter joins and tells Carlene she should “pretend sex doesn’t exist somewhere else” and not to recruit her children for Carlene’s “creepy celibacy club.”

Toward the end of the episode Carlene sets up an outrageous “sex-education” exposition call “Heck House” to combat promiscuity and teen sex. “Mormons call this Hell House, but I’m not that liberal,” she said.

TV Line reported “GCB” is still struggling in the ratings. “The “special” first airing at 9 p.m. drew 5.25 million total viewers and a 1.7 rating, down some in the demo from the show’s most recent tally (5.22 mil/1.9), while the second helping (5.2 mil/1.9) was right on par with last Sunday’s numbers.”
