From the government shutdown to the recent debt ceiling hike, the liberal media excoriate Tea Party and conservative politicians, painting them as radical extremists and incompetent obstructionists. Meanwhile, they twist and censor news stories to rescue Barack Obama and liberal lawmakers from the consequences of their disastrous policies.

• When President Obama acted outside the Constitution to delay Obamacare’s employer mandate for a second time, not a single major network acknowledged the controversy, nor questioned liberal congress members’ continued support for the disastrous healthcare law.
• During the fall 2013 government shutdown, broadcast networks invariably blamed Republicans for the impasse—ignoring examples of how the Obama administration and Senate Democrats worked to make the shutdown as painful as possible. Of the 124 full stories and brief items about the shutdown, 41 blamed Republicans or conservatives for the impasse, 17 blamed both sides, and none specifically blamed Democrats.
• In the wake of recent disappointing jobs reports, the liberal media desperately tried to spin the facts and figures. The New York Times dismissed the low employment numbers as outliers while CNBC gave cover to liberal lawmakers by asserting, “The fact that policymakers are working really hard here, I think, is a reason for optimism.”
